Nature and the City

Green Adelaide was created in 2020 and is the only organisation which specifically focuses on managing nature in a city.  Chris will provide an overview of their achievements.

Green Adelaide was created in 2020 and is the only organisation which specifically focuses on managing nature in a city. The team at Green Adelaide is an extraordinary group of South Australians dedicated to creating a sustainable community. Their achievements to date are amazing, culminating in the development of the successful National Park City application.

Dr Chris Daniels holds several positions and titles. As well as being an Associate Professor at the University of South Australia and adjunct Professor of Zoology at Adelaide University, he is head of the Green Adelaide Landscape Board.  Chris is a prolific scientist and author, having written or edited 9 books and contributed to more than 170 scientific publications.

He actively supports 20 organisations involved in conservation.
