These include items such as the Polar library, the model of the Aurora, Mawson's iconic half sledge, a replica hut, and so much more. He will also outline how the Polar Collection was acquired, and how it is managed today. There will be some free time at the end of the session to explore areas of interest'

The library of the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia holds an extensive collection of books and other items. The Rare Book meetings provide an opportunity to uncover items of significance that are "hiding" in the shelves.
Cost: free to RGSSA members. Non-members welcome for a small fee. Please note that a booking must be made to attend the meeting.
The State Library advises that standard COVID precautions will be in place including the wearing of masks. No one should attend if they are feeling unwell. Social distancing to be adhered to as well as frequent use of hand sanitisers.
