The Royal Geographical Society of South Australia invites members and friends to embark on a four day exploration of the Murray with expert guide Jock Veenstra.

Jock is a legendary River Murray skipper, boat builder and tourism entrepreneur. He pioneered regular river runs along many sections of the Murray and Darling rivers and their tributaries using faster smaller craft rather than the traditional paddle wheelers.

Jock has virtually imprinted these unique river rambles with his personal signature using a variety of accommodation for the overnight stops along the way. As he indicated on the recent RGSSA Coorong day tour he is looking to retire from this in the next few years and it is unlikely that this type of travel option will continue.

This is a rare opportunity for RGSSA members and friends to join Jock for a three night, four day exploration of the Darling around Wentworth, Lake Victoria, and journey along one of the least developed sections of river between Mildura and Renmark.

Places are limited so please secure your booking early by paying your non refundable deposit via Eventbrite of $300 per person. Participants will receive an invoice for the outstanding balance in January with the amount due by 11.02.2022.
