Rare Books Group

The RBG provides an opportunity for members to share their interest in the provenance and content of some of the fascinating items in our collection

Rare Books Group (RBG)

Due to the closure of the Mortlock Chamber and the difficulties of access, we are reluctantly POSTPONING the Rare Books Group presentations for the duration of the works, probably until September.  This is a great pity after the refurbishment closure and we are very sorry to have to make this decision.

Sessions are usually held in the Jervois Room, which is on the ground floor of the Mortlock Wing at the southern (North Terrace) end on the fourth Thursday of the month.  The RBG has been running successfully since 2012 – it’s history has been captured by Jill Kerby.

This event is free for members of the RGSSA. Non-members are welcome to attend and tickets are available for $5 per person. The RGSSA welcomes new members who wish to make a contribution to the success of the society. There is a limit of 30 people at each meeting.
