Discoveries from the manuscript drawer

Kate Buckley

If you want to find out more about this mystery ……come to the “Rare Books” presentation in November.

Material for this presentation has not come from the “Rare Book” collection, but rather from the “Manuscript Files”. These files contain information on various topics, with early exploration of this vast, timeless land, Australia, being prominent.

Unless private research has been undertaken, most of us have gained little knowledge of the “fearless”, early Explorers, from our formal education. This presentation by Library volunteer Kate Buckley will expose some important gaps.

Kate has been reviewing the contents of the manuscript drawers for the past year or so, and has made some exciting discoveries.
