The RGSSA provides an environment of friendship, activity and interest. By joining the Society, your subscription and active participation assists in the important cause of advancing geographical knowledge and awareness in a world where need for understanding of our physical and social environments has never been greater.
Membership of the Society gives access to the Society’s magnificent library, including borrowing rights (excluding rare books and highly valuable items).
Members receive the bi-monthly in-house newsletter “GeoNews” and are entitled to discounts on many of the Society’s other publications and excursions. Members can attend monthly lectures with nibbles and drinks provided, join committees and volunteer with the library and administrative tasks. Members may bring friends along to the Society’s lecture programme and functions. There are many other benefits as outlined here.
