Councils and Committees of the Society

The Society is governed by a Council elected according to its Rules. It is the effective management group of the Society with specific activities and collections managed by Committees made up of members who are interested in those particular aspects of the Society. The committees look after the following areas:

Research, Publications and Awards
Strategic Implementation
Engagement and Communication
Administration (formerly Executive)

Positions on the Council and Committees are open to any member and a Council Nomination Form is attached.

The Society relies heavily on its volunteers to keep it an active and viable organisation.  Any member who has time or skills to contribute is most welcome and greatly appreciated.  To establish a clear basis for using volunteers the Council has created two documents which describe the responsibilities of both parties.
